This is my entry to 's 'Blind Date' contest. Chainey is one of my favorite characters out of hers and I been wanting to draw him, so this was a good reason to try. (So, yes, this is my first attempt at Chainey). XD Original it was going to be Carlie, but I think that would be a little awkward, cause Carlie like...12-ish. So I started to think why would she get set up on a blind date at that age? That sound a little extreme to me. So, I decided to go with Rei instead. :3 I know there isn't any dialog, when I was drawing it, I thought the comic would be kind of 'self-explanatory. So I left it out, but I want to give a back-drop anyways. :3

Ok, so, they meet and Rei realize how tall Chainey is(he's 6'6'' and Rei is just at the 5'0'' line), which get her a little tweaked(she has height issues. She likes being small, but then again she doesn't). She gets over it quickly though and they go out star glazing, but while their doing that Chainey has a narcoleptic episode and fall asleep on her shoulder. Which startle her at first, but then she gets all 'Awww, how cute, he's sleepy'. Why it doesn't bother her that her date just fall asleep I don't know, but it didn't. XD

I didn't know what exactly to have Chainey wear, though I thought he would look good in blue. So, he wearing a non-formal, dark blue suit like outfit. Rei's dress is based on one that I saw on a Gothic/Sweet Lolita website. I might draw her in it again so you all can get a better look at it.

This piece is half-colored pencil/half-computer colored. Mostly cause I couldn't color Chainey's skin with colored pencil and I have to touch up other things too.
